FAQs
What can I expect during a consultation call?
The consult call is a free 15-minute phone conversation where we briefly discuss what you're looking for in therapy, any questions you have about how I work, and whether it feels like a good fit. It's a no-pressure space to connect and get clarity before committing to a full session.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently credentialed with Aetna insurance. If you have another provider, I can provide a monthly superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
What’s the benefit of paying privately for therapy?
Private pay allows us to work together without the restrictions of insurance, such as requiring a diagnosis, limiting the number of sessions, or sharing personal information with third parties. This gives us more freedom, flexibility, and privacy in your care.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards, as well as HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. As your provider I will send you this document outlining the cost of treatment on a annual meeting cadence. To learn more or get a form to start the process, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What are your business hours?
My practice hours are typically Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Inquiries received Friday through Sunday will be responded to on the next business day.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Yes, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help increase accessibility to therapy. These are offered based on financial need and availability. If you’re interested, we can discuss this during our consultation.
